Who knows what's going on in her head but here a few things we do know.
She's trying to be a nun in the church...but she's very bad it and now she's given up and has started wearing the bishop's uniform much to her father's disapproval.
Mary is a good person she just likes to mess with people and take unconventional dangerous routes to get the job done.
Her powers are very powerful and even though she uses it to actively fight crime on her own terms, she's taken an oath to never kill anyone.
POWERS
Not much is known about Mary's power at the time.
When it activates it does make her regenerate her body when she is injured, and it enchances her firearm and combat skills.
SUMMARY
Mary is an American Catholic who is borderline crazy, but there is some profound sanity within her unorthodox methods. She moved to the city Joseph and Yusra are in to watch over them and pretty much investigate. Not much is known about Mary at this time, but it's thought she's been in the military for awhile hence her firearm skills.
